WOMEN IN WARZONES
I am very happy to be able to write music for an upcoming filmproject called “Kesi - Born Of War” directed by Scott Blanding, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Scott and his sister Melanie have been travelling the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa last year. Melanie was working on a photostory on rape victims and Scott was filming in and around Panzi Hospital for his documentary “Women In Warzones”. Scott is currently shooting his new film “Kesi - Born Of War” in Philadelphia that tells the story of Kesi and Shani, mother and daughter, two congolese refugees. They struggle with a painful secret that not only threatens their relationship, but their identity as well. The story is based on the conflict in Congo where tens of thousands of women and girls have become victims of sexual violence. Please visit the link below for further information. I am currently composing various inspirational pieces for the director.

The “Squalid” Trailer is out now! I have been working on the trailer music for Andreas Troeger’s (Berlin, Germany based director) upcoming movie “Squalid”. The music that accompanies Andreas’ visuals is based on two layouts I developed over the last couple of weeks. It is great fun to work with him. There is always enough creative freedom to experiment with a new approach in regards of filmscoring. “Squalid” will get a score that will feature distorted electric guitars and basses, an acoustic drum kit and a live solo cello. Mike Harding, a very good friend and gifted guitar player from Auckland, New Zealand contributed some crazy guitar effects. Also many thanks to my friend and colleague Jonathan Campbell from “The Likely Story” who was mixing the music and did the sound design for the trailer. Please stay tuned for more news about the films release!
OMEGA99
Two young film directors Philip Fricker and Jens Schwengel were looking for a blend of orchestral music with electronic elements to support their futuristic and provocative film “Omega99”. The movie required to compose versatile On- and Off Music ranging from lounge and club tunes to piano pieces and orchestral score music.
POETRY
This kiteboard movie is the second project of my friend and filmmaker Christian Gruener and was shot on 16mm film in Venezuela. Focus of the music was to catch the lethargy of the protagonists at the beginning of the movie where the kiteboarders can be seen in their dull every day life. For short video clips please go the filmography section on my website. More background information can be found on the official movie website:
