MUSIC FOR PLANET EARTH FOREVER - THE SECRET
It has been an extraordinary experience to be working with the “The Secret” team on their latest video and visualization tool called “Planet Earth Forever”. The creative process and the custom scoring of the three minute video clip unfolded just magically for me. The beautiful “The Secret” team and the stunning visuals of the clip triggered my inspiration and I came up with a piano piece and an accompanying string arrangement. The goal was to convey the fragility, sensitivity and grace of our mother earth, to raise awareness, and to hopefully touch everyone who watches the clip from deep within.

This website is a new platform for my advertising music. It is an online source for industry professionals e. g. trailer houses, film studios to license my music for advertising campaigns. The featured tracks on this site are excerpts of my advertising music portfolio which I put together exclusively for this new website.
The “Squalid” Trailer is out now! I have been working on the trailer music for Andreas Troeger’s (Berlin, Germany based director) upcoming movie “Squalid”. The music that accompanies Andreas’ visuals is based on two layouts I developed over the last couple of weeks. It is great fun to work with him. There is always enough creative freedom to experiment with a new approach in regards of filmscoring. “Squalid” will get a score that will feature distorted electric guitars and basses, an acoustic drum kit and a live solo cello. Mike Harding, a very good friend and gifted guitar player from Auckland, New Zealand contributed some crazy guitar effects. Also many thanks to my friend and colleague Jonathan Campbell from “The Likely Story” who was mixing the music and did the sound design for the trailer. TASTE OF AFRICA
“Taste of Africa” just left my recording studio in the Waitakere Ranges. I am very happy that Jabu Mlangeni and the group around her contributed to a track for a unique future film project I yet will announce. We have been rehearsing a couple of times until we finally recorded the group chant and a few adlib takes on the backing track I put together. Lush orchestral elements, african percussion and the beautiful voices of “Taste of Africa” will make a very emotional listening experience. Thank you from my heart for a memorable time: Magasela Emmanuel Mlangeni, Jabu Mlangeni, Sesi Francis, Emmanuel Baloyi, France, Tshifhiwa, Thande Mlangeni, Lungile Mlangeni, Promise, Sissy Mlangeni.
VANUATU
I just returned from Efate, Vanuatu which is a group of beautiful islands in the South Pacific that are almost untouched compared to other archipelagos around the globe. It’s native inhabitants the “Ni-Vans” are of an overwhelmingly friendly nature. We were told that this has to do with the chiefs that rule in every village of Melanesia who teach their fellow villagers: “You will have no honor in your life if you do not respect people from other places!”. Johnson Sausiara was making it possible to do a field recording with him and other members of his tribal community in the Iarofa Cultural Village. The tribal chants and dances we taped are in “Futuna” their native language. The “Niafiafi” is a fishermen dance and “Bilbil” is another riveting dance they exclusively performed for us. Many thanks to Johnson Sausiara, Ronnie Naute, Yoli Seiake, Kopland Ropi, Tapapapi Nishina and Donald Seiroa. You were amazing! The captured audio material will be used for one of my upcoming projects.

My orchestral track “Samskara - The Dragon” will be on Immediate Music’s upcoming and highly anticipated “Themes for Orchestra & Choir #3”. “Samskara - The Dragon” will be recorded in Los Angeles in March by a 100 piece orchestra and a huge choir. The CD is set to be released this spring. This compilation of distinguished cues are targeted specifically toward Major Motion Picture and Television Advertising Campaigns. At any given point during the year, Immediate Music cues are being utilized in promotional campaigns of the 50 top grossing films in Hollywood. Immediate Music’s recent campaigns include: X-Men 3, Spiderman 3, The Da Vinci Code, Harry Potter 4, Ghost Rider, Superman Returns, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
